Jordan and Jim headed downtown to Navy Pier yesterday.  We started out at the Naperville train station. We headed down to Navy Pier, where we rode the Centennial Wheel.  We were able to take some great photos from up there! We also rode on the Tall Ship Windy, where Jordan was able to help raise the sails. Jordan was confirmed at St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday May 20th.  John Hinkel was her sponsor, and we had Mom, John, Erin, Katie and Connor in for the big event.   Here’s Jordan with Connor, Katie and Mom. On October 13th, we headed downtown to the United Center, where the Chicago Bulls play, to take in the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions.  Laura got us front-row seats and we also go to meet most of the Olympians. Jordan Competes in the St. Valentine’s Meet in Chicago

Jordan competed in the St. Valentine’s Meet in Chicago last weekend.  This was her season-best meet; her all-around score was 35.100 and she scored her season-high on floor with a 9.075.  Way to go Jordan! Another great thing about this meet:  Laura travelled with us to the meet and saw Jordan’s performance.  This is the first time that Laura has left the house aside from doctor’s visits since she broke her right ankle and a bone in her left foot. …

Jordan Competes in the St. Jude Meet

Jordan competed in the annual St. Jude meet that raises funds for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital on January 10th, 2015.  She scored 33.350, a little lower than she wanted, but nailed an 8.800 on Uneven Bars.  This is her season high and none too shabby for a new level with much harder skills to master!  Here’s a good shot of her coming off of beam and getting encouragement from Coach Joe.
