Dad passed away on Sunday February 5th, 2017. He was 81. Here is the obituary that ran in the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

Passed away peacefully February 5, 2017 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Kathryn (nee’ Xavier). Dear father of Kerry (Mike) Herdmann, Kathryn (William) Tate, James A. III (Laura), Frank (Kelly) and Erin (John) Hinkel. Cherished grandfather of 8. Brother to Marianne (James) Nugent and the late John McCarthy. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:AM on Thursday February 9, 2017 at St. Brendan Church 4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmsted, Oh. The family will receive friends at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd. Fairview Park, Oh. on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
