Easter 2014: Saturday Indians Game
On Saturday April 19th 2014, we took Mom and Dad to an Indians game to celebrate Dad’s birthday. The Indians lost 5-0 to the Toronto Blue Jays, but we still had a fun time. Here is a shot of the intrepid fans preparing to head down to the seats in 46F weather!
Here are some shots of Progressive Field (I still call it The Jake and probably always will…).
While I was there, I captured some shots of Ontario Avenue and the surrounding area. Here are a few of the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge.
It was a cold day, so we picked up some blankets. Here’s everyone all bundled up to watch the game!
Here are a few shots of the Cleveland skyline.
This is the building where I had my first professional job working as an auditor for KPMG. It was the National City Center then, and is right up the road from Progressive Field. As a matter of fact, when I worked there, the baseball field was empty land; buildings had been torn down in anticipation of building this complex. I used to park in what is now right field in an open parking lot!
There was a baseball game on, after all! Here are some shots from that.
And finally, after the game, Jordan posed with her new foam finger to show her Tribe Pride!
It was a bit chilly for baseball, but Mom and Dad had fun and so did we.
