Trip to Sydney and Newcastle, NSW, Australia
A few weeks back, work brought me Down Under for a week in Sydney and Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. These cities are on the east coast of Australia, about 2 1/2 hours drive apart. Here is a map showing Sydney:
Australia
Being March and south of the equator, Sydney was experiencing an early fall and the temperatures were about 75F each day that we were there.
These shots were all taken with a Sony Cyber Shot point and shoot, so they are not as nice as ones that I have taken with my D40. However, I still invite you to see them.
Here’s the Sydney Opera House:
And here is the Sydney Harbour Bridge:
I took a boat tour of the harbor the day I arrived and also managed a bus tour of Sydney on the day that I left. Here are some pictures from the city. First, the famous Coca Cola sign at King’s Cross:
Next, St. Mary’s Cathedral, the oldest Catholic church in Australia:
Lastly, proof that Sony really did also launch the PlayStation Vita in Australia too!
I also managed to take other interesting pictures in Sydney and Newcastle, and you can see them in the gallery below. Sydney was beautiful, well worth the 12.5 hour flight from LAX! Check it out yourself soon!
