Lake Como, Italy From July 2010
Back in July 2010, I spent two weeks in Italy for work. I was lucky enough to be able to get up to Lake Como and also over to Venice over the weekend.
First Lake Como. This is a very wealthy area with many old and historic buildings. It is beautiful and is highly recommended. I took the train from Milan to Como and then took a boat to Bellagio. Great fun!
Italy
Here are some pictures from Lake Como!
Even the boat launches at Lake Como were nice! This one is at the village of Cernobbio.
There are some seriously nice homes on the lake. After all, George Clooney lives in the area!
Here’s a cool home:
It’s a bit built up:
Here’s a nice hotel; note the deck:
Normal people and their boats:
I really liked this private home:
The woman in the top left of this shot waved at me and blew me a kiss. Don’t tell Laura!
I really loved this house. And right on the dock…
A cool restaurant:
The village of Argegno:
My new house (I wish!):
More cool ones:
The world-famous Grand Hotel Tremezzo. I don’t even want to know the room rate:
The village of Bellagio’s dock:
Inside the church at Bellagio:
A street scene in Bellagio:
A piazza in Bellagio:
A marker commemorating a victim of Facism. I saw plenty of these in Milan, Lake Como and Venice. Ironic since the movement started in the north and Mussolini actually ruled there after the Germans broke him out of prison:
Another Bellagio street scene:
Some shops in Bellagio; Laura will love this place:
A really cool home in Bellagio:
And the last from Lake Como:
If you are in Milan, make time for Lake Como. It is well worth seeing!
