One of the most signifcant things that we did when we visited Hawaii was to visit Pearl Harbor.  We saw the USS Arizona Memorial and I wanted to share some pictures of that. Thanksgiving 2011 in Cleveland

We came back to Cleveland for Thanksgiving.  We had Thanksgiving dinner at Kate’s, a party on Saturday at Erin’s, dinner with the Covell’s and Mom and Dad on Friday and plenty of fun on Saturday.  It was great seeing all of you!

August 2011 DUKW Ride

We took a ride on a WWII vintage vehicle called a DUKW, essentially a GMC truck that converted to a boat.  It was used in amphibious landings on beaches by the Allies in WWII and Korea, and now carries tourists around the Wisconsin Dells.  Here is some information on the DUKW.  It really was fun to ride in a truck that converted into a boat! Back in July 2010, I spent two weeks in Italy for work.  I was lucky enough to be able to get up to Lake Como and also over to Venice over the weekend. First Lake Como.  This is a very wealthy area with many old and historic buildings.  It is beautiful and is highly recommended.  I took the train from Milan to Como and then took a boat to Bellagio.  Great fun!
